The “Pride in the Randolph County School System (RCSS)” program honors employees who consistently demonstrate pride in the school system and exemplify strong character and commitment in their everyday work. While the program primarily highlights smaller, often unnoticed acts of dedication, it also recognizes exceptional efforts tied to larger events when appropriate.
Employees chosen for this recognition are awarded a “Pride in the Randolph County School System” lapel pin. Recipients are selected by members of the RCSS Leadership Team, school principals, or Board of Education members.
The following pages list the “Pride in RCSS” pin recipients from May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. We extend our sincere thanks to these outstanding employees for their dedication to the Randolph County School System.

Liberty School wouldn't be complete without our ESL teachers! We want to give a huge Thank You to Mrs. Mora and all our ESL teachers for all their hard work and all that they have done for our school!
If you haven’t already registered your child for Kindergarten, don’t wait! Families registering new Kindergarten students should also complete transportation requests early. Waiting until the last minute to register may delay bus service at the start of school.
🚍 RCSS is planning for the 2026-2027 school year! Make sure your child's transportation request is on file!
If your student will need bus transportation at the beginning of the school year and you're unsure whether a request has been submitted, please contact your child's school as soon as possible.

We couldn’t let National School Principal Day go by without saying thank you to our principal, Mrs. Jamie Horner for everything she does each day. Your leadership and dedication help create a school where students feel supported and teachers feel encouraged. From big decisions to everyday moments, you help make our school great. RCSS School Nutrition has been busy serving up Farm-to-School NC strawberries from Cottle Farms and Seven Springs 🍓 We've also taste tested crispy chicken taquitos and tropical trio popsicles with students at RMS and SWRMS 🌮🍧New items must pass student taste testing to be added to our menus! #RCSScafereinvented #fillyourtray
Third through fifth grade students celebrated Earth Day in the media center by coding Sphero Indi cars through interactive challenges focused on caring for our planet. Students programmed their cars to make positive environmental choices like cleaning up trash, recycling materials, and planting trees. Through hands-on problem solving, they explored how small actions can make a big difference for the Earth.
The Liberty Elementary Run Club wrapped up an incredible season at the Run 5 Feed 5 race at Creekside Park! Our runners gave their very best effort, and we could not be more proud of each and every one of them. Running is hard, and their perseverance, determination, and positive attitudes truly showed from start to finish.
We had several runners earn prizes, and we are especially excited to celebrate that Liberty Elementary had both the top girl and top boy finishers in the 13-and-under age group—what an amazing accomplishment!
Thank you to all of our runners, families, and supporters for making this season such a success. Way to go, Liberty Run Club!

Learning came to life as PGHS FFA visited our 1st graders for their Little Sprouts program! Through hands-on discussion and activities, students discovered how food gets from the farm to their table, and why farmers deserve our thanks every day.
Our Service Club students took pride in giving back to our community today by helping clean up Downtown Liberty! 🧹💙
Through teamwork, leadership, and service, these students are learning that even small acts can make a big difference. We are proud of their commitment to keeping our town beautiful and showing what community pride looks like in action!
Huge "Thank You!" to our morning announcement team Brady & Paisley! From the music Mondays, jokes of the day, birthdays - these two keep us informed and entertained at the start of everyday!
