Fire Safety in Action! Our students learned important fire safety tips from firefighters representing several local fire stations! They explored the fire trucks, checked out the equipment, and practiced safety with a fire drill at the start of the visit. A HUGE shout-out and heartfelt thank-you to our local firefighters for taking time out of their busy schedules to teach and protect our students!

Books, Baskets & Breakfast! Some of our 5th grade boys got together with their teachers bright and early for a morning of reading, basketball, and breakfast. It was a slam dunk way to build friendships, share laughs, and start the day on a positive note!

Starbooks Book Tasting! Fifth grade students tasted a variety of books during our Star Books Book Tasting! They explored different genres, discovered new authors and stories, and sampled books they might not normally choose. Some may have even found their next favorite book! A huge thanks to the Liberty Pubic Library for donating all the books!!

Friction Race! Our 5th grade students put their creativity and science skills to the test as they design a “vehicle” to race down a ramp. But there’s a twist—the slowest vehicle wins! Students explore how friction affects motion and experiment with ways to make their vehicle slow down.

Celebrate Your Birthday with a Book! Every student gets a special Birthday Coin to celebrate their big day! Students can use their coin in our Birthday Book Vending Machine to choose a brand-new book to take home and enjoy. What a fun way to celebrate another year of growing, learning, and reading!

Custodian Appreciation Day! Today, we are celebrating the incredible team that keeps our school shining bright, safe, and welcoming every single day. Fox's First Graders What better way to prepare for our zoo field trip then to become real life Zoologist! We broke up into 5 different teams We conducted our own research on our team’s specific animal and then finished out our research by making our own zoo animal! 🦁🐵🦒🐻‍❄️🐘

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month During Hispanic Heritage Month, our students celebrated the rich cultures, traditions, languages, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Students enjoyed visits from talented dancers and a Spanish-speaking guest, learned Spanish words for colors and everyday words, and explored books featuring diverse cultures, people, and places. Through stories, music, dance, and hands-on learning, students discovered new cultures while celebrating the beauty of our diverse world!

How fast are you? The science of speed! Officer Vernon came to teach 5th graders about speed during their science lesson.

Mrs. Fox's first grade class learns about respecting themselves and others. They created a hedgehog craft and added different ways to show respect.

First grade fun with Buttercup the cow! First graders had a visit from a very special guest. Buttercup has some physical challenges and is still thriving!
